Jim Pederson, who was expected to take on Attorney General Terry Goddard in the Dem primary for governor, has been phoning friends and close associates to tell them he is not going to run, one of those associates told the Yellow Sheet. The source said Pederson said personal timing was not right for a campaign. Jeanine L’Ecuyer at Ziemba Wade confirmed the story, adding Pederson was “never in” the race, but will continue his “Stand up for Arizona” Web site.
