About Legislative District 6

District 6 contains areas of northern and eastern Arizona. It includes most of Coconino County south and west of the Navajo Nation Reservation, including Flagstaff. It also includes northeastern Yavapai County, encompassing the Verde Valley communities of Cottonwood, Verde Village, and Camp Verde. It includes parts of Navajo County and the northern portion of Gila County, including Payson.

Minorities represent 25.7 percent of the total population and 21.8 percent of the voting age population.

The district comprises parts of former legislative districts 1 and 2 in Coconino County (including Flagstaff and northeastern Yavapai County) and former legislative district 5 in Gila County (which included Payson and the part of Navajo County south of the Navajo Nation Reservation).
