Age: 64. (11/22/47, Newark, NJ).

Arizona since: 2012.

Occupation: CEO, EZ Courses.Org LLC, (Prescott, AZ); program manager, Raytheon Space & Airborne Systems (El Segundo, CA); senior engineer, GE Government Systems (Kwajalein, Marshall Islands).

Marital: Single.

Children: 3.

Religious preference: Catholic.

Education: B.A., Rutgers University, B.A., Union College; Control Data Institute, computer engineering, diploma; RCA Technical Institute, electrical engineering, MSEE.

Political experience: When in Vietnam, I was heavily involved in training programs and working with the local officials in Long Binh and throughout Vietnam, when on military ops to help improve the level of education and skills of the Vietnamese people. I assisted in providing medical supplies, food, jobs and equipment to the Vietnamese people.

Memberships: Veterans of Foreign Wars; member and balloting committees, Institute of Electronics and Electrical Engineers.

Interests: Politics, music, sports, travel.

Political influence: Although my family were staunch Democrats and blue collar coal miners and machinists, I have to say that Barry Goldwater and Ronald Reagan most impressed me, since their vision was for a fair and equitable America. JFK also impressed me, however his vision of a socialistic society just did not justify the reality of the balance needed for everyday life.

Top priority: Given the disastrous position the American people have been placed in, as far as the economy is concerned, my top priority is to bring jobs back and central to our American core. That is, the North American Free Trade Agreement (otherwise known as NAFTA, thanks to John Kerry and his cronies in both the Democrat and Republican Parties) destroyed our manufacturing base, allowing companies to manufacture offshore, just to put more money back in the executives’ pockets, and force millions out of work. If you do not have manufacturing, you are nothing more than a tourist trap, complete with service retailers and fast food stands.

Respected opponent: Ronald Reagan once said, “Government is not the solution, government is the problem.” The fact is, Ronald Reagan was actually a conservative Libertarian, much like myself. However, Ronald Reagan made blunders later as president, and relied on war to bring back our economy, but alas that was not to last, as war cannot continue forever and the economy crashed again, as should be expected.

Job creation measures: We must return jobs to America by bringing manufacturing back. In that light, I insist that NAFTA be either repealed altogether or at a minimum, modified. If you are going to sell here in the U.S., then you must manufacture here in the U.S. Secondly, I would repeal altogether or at least modify the H1-B Visa Program which has imported for a number of years at least 100,000 immigrants to take American jobs. This was implemented in G. Bush Jr. administration, by William Gates and other CEO’s from Silicon Valley. The fact is, corporate America decided they did not want to pay an American engineer $60 to 80k a year anymore, but $30k at most, and no benefits. This has been going on for many years, ever since G. Bush Jr. has been in office.

Illegal immigration: I have a very detailed plan which would hold each employer responsible that hires an alien, whether from Italy, France, Mexico, Canada or otherwise. I will introduce legislation that will require each illegal alien to submit an application to their prospective employer, which will be forwarded on [to] the INS or a different agency, which will check for warrants, felonies, etc. If approved, a special ID card will be issued, much like our beloved social security card. The alien will then be allowed to work and will pay taxes just like everyone else who wants the benefits and protection of our country and taxpayers. There are many other details that are too numerous to discuss here.

Federal deficit: No more corporate bailouts, Wall Street bailouts, bank bailouts and absolutely no more European bailouts. The fact is, the American people are constantly being forced to invest 75% and bulk of the IMF (known as the International Monetary Fund) to fund the rest of the world. This must stop now.

President Obama’s qualifications: The American people are embarrassed and disgusted that there is even a question as to whether or not this man is even eligible to run for office, any office. It would seem to me that a politician that comes out of nowhere, is tied to the Chicago political scene and people like Rahm Emanual, should never have been made president. The fact is, he was anointed president and [given a] Nobel Peace Prize just because he became the president. He himself stated on nationwide TV that he did nothing to deserve the prize and the $1 million.

Age: 53. (11/27/58, Rock Springs, WY).

Arizona since: 1987.

Occupation: Dentist, owner of small business for over 25 years.

Marital: Married (Maude, small business owner).

Children: 3.

Religious preference: Roman Catholic.

Education: D.D.S., doctor of dental surgery, Creighton Univ, 1985; B.S., biology, Creighton Univ, 1981.

Political experience: Congressman since 2010; president, Northern Arizona Dental Society; vice chair, American Dental Assn Council on Governmental Affairs.

Memberships: American Dental Association, GOP Doctors Caucus, Civil Justice Caucus, Oral Health Caucus, Western Caucus, Native American Caucus, Immigration Reform Caucus, Military Veterans Caucus, Israel Allies Caucus, Congressional Rural Caucus, Republican Study Committee.

Political influence: Ronald Reagan set a good example for me. He fought against bloated public unions, as have I. He fought for a balanced budget, as have I. And he always remembered that government has a limited role defined by the Constitution.

Top priority: To continue fighting to protect the private sector and getting government out of the way of business and out of micro-managing the lives of Americans. I have voted to repeal Obamacare (or defund it) in whole and in part about 28 times. It is a top priority of mine, since, as a health care provider, I know that the best medicine is between a patient and a doctor, not a patient and a bureaucrat in Washington, D.C. I have fought for accountability against the Obama Administration and been a leader on Operation Fast and Furious. My resolution, H.Res. 490, has 114 co-sponsors and is waiting a floor vote. I have introduced legislation to save billions in union waste by repealing the Davis Bacon Act. I will continue to make sure the government helps business so that businesses can hire workers. My successful jobs bill, H.R. 1904, is a good example of my accomplishments. When signed into law, Arizona will gain over $1 billion in economic activity and about 3,000 jobs.

Respected opponent: Rep Hansen Clarke (D-MI). He has integrity. He is civil and I always enjoy talking to him about the issues. We don’t always reach the same conclusions, but we have a lot of fun talking about the issues. I wish there were more Democrats like him.

Job creation measures: First and foremost, we need to fix our broken tax code. It is complicated and expensive. We need a flatter, fairer system where everyone pays and no one gets away as a freeloader—corporations or individuals. Businesses need tax certainty. Our code fluctuates, and some members in Congress constantly want to change the code. This harms business planning. Second, I would continue the fight to repeal all of these harmful government regulations that kill jobs and kill businesses. I voted for the REINS Act and other regulatory fixes. Over-regulation costs billions and stifles innovation and business expansion. We have more than enough regulations but the bureaucrats in D.C. keep writing more. This has to stop. I have co-sponsored and voted for a Balanced Budget Amendment. This amendment, if enacted, would do more to save our country’s long term prospects than just about anything else we can do.

Illegal immigration: I have maintained that our first priority is to secure the border. We need to stop human trafficking, drug smuggling and gun running. I have supported more funding to secure the border. It is a national priority. Not until we can say we have operational control over the border can we even start to address other immigration related issues.

Federal deficit: First let me tell you what measure I will not support: I will not support tax hikes to balance the budget or reduce the deficit. We are already taxed too much. The problem is government spending, not government revenues. I co-sponsored and voted for balanced budget amendments. If this were part of our Constitution, Congress could not spend more than it takes in (except in cases of national emergency). This would automatically reduce the federal deficit. I voted for the RSC Budget and the Ryan Budget Plan. Both budgets achieved a balanced budget in less than 10 years. I also have proposed amendments to appropriations bills to reduce waste. I sought to cut $100 million from the Food for Peace program for example. I voted for multiple amendments recently that would slash billions from our spending.

President Obama’s qualifications: Yes. He had no experience in the private sector. Neither did most of his cabinet. The results are clear: the economy is a disaster. We need a President whose qualifications include working in the private sector, preferably, owning or managing a business. Once you learn how hard it is to make payroll, you will be a lot more careful with taxpayer money.
