Treasurer Martin’s wife dies after childbirth (access required)

Kerry Martin, the wife of state Treasurer Dean Martin, died on Memorial Day due to complications from childbirth, according to the Treasurer's Office.

By all accounts, Martin Gold was a humble and hard-working man. He was popular among the immigrant community, especially the Mexicans—who called him Don Martin—because of his facility with languages.
