Goddard makes it official
Arizona Democrats now officially have a gubernatorial candidate in 2010, as Attorney General Terry Goddard has formally taken the “exploratory” tag off of his committee.
For months, Goddard has been expected to be the only Democrat to run for governor. In December, he formed an exploratory committee, which allowed him to publicly declare his interest in the post without violating the state’s resign to run law.
Goddard has been attorney general since 2003 and is term-limited.
A call to his campaign was not immediately returned.
