Coughlin’s prominence is no accident

Political consultant Chuck Coughlin was recently recognized in an issue for having some “juice.”

But what accompanied the kudos was a snide, anonymous comment that his achievement was “accidental.” The quote offered other gratuitous criticism too.

I have had more acrimony than agreement with Chuck over the years, but to call his success “accidental” is wannabe nonsense.

Has Gov. Brewer assisted his career? You bet. But it’s a career that would be complete without her ascendancy. And that kind of career, elevation and caste system is something the grumpy, minor league purveyor of falsehoods will never enjoy.

  1. Ha ha ha!! All of this coming from Jason Rose. Coughlin and Rose can both be creeps, but I’ll take Chuck any day…

  2. Student of Election Laws

Chuck Coughlin has always under-charged his campaign clients to win favor for his lobbying clients. It is a violation of law for a CCEC participating candidate to account for anything less than fair market value.

His clients are beholding to his because he got them elected for less.

  3. Given Mr. Goddard’s commercials personally attacking Mr. Coughlin, perhaps Chuck needs Mr. Rose’s assistance on more than a short term basis.

Arizona has chosen to act now. We are opting to improve on the work of previous generations of state leaders to ensure that the word “crisis” remains banished from Arizona’s water lexicon.
