Living in Maine, I was talking to some legal immigrants why they came this far North for work, they reported that they are being pushed out of the South because the illegals are taking their jobs. They all fully supported the Immigration law passed in Arizona, and felt that law enforcement should have the right to ask for identification.

what happens if they decide to stop someone who is legal and they have no papers because they are legal but the police dont believe them?

Illegal aliens are called that because they are here illegally. IF they would cease to be here illegally, whatever that takes, then the need of such a law would not exist. If you are caught in Mexico “illegally” the consequences are much worse. I don’t see anyone protesting their law(s).

The root of this bill is Pearce’s desire for power. He developed his mandate by going from house to house telling his constituents that “Vincente Fox was arming Mexicans and sending them into our state to take over our homes and lands.” A lot of very old ladies and men, and a lot of fairly ignorant and naive middle-aged people have hung on to his rhetoric which is farfetched and erroneous. But perception is reality…for those who live with hate, fear and ignorance as their guideposts. Too bad for Arizona, and too bad for Mesa. This legislation is very poor legislation. And Pearce is something else.

The root of this bill is the fact that the Federal gov’t isn’t doing their job as required by the Constitution. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the States to affirm their sovereignty by upholding the Constitution under the 10th Amendment. The excuses listed to not support this bill are unproven suppositions and scare tactics.

The reality is this bill is a deterrent to illegals to stay in this state and either self deport or move on to more friendly states. It is obvious that these people have never been victims of illegals who are coming across the border in droves. It also gives the police the ability to perform their jobs without being handcuffed by “sanctuary” policies.

This bill must by passed by every legislator who took an oath to the Constitution today. We voters will be holding your feet to the fire if you do not vote for protecting the border, protecting American citizens from crimes, and protecting American citizens from having their tax dollars wasted on illegals which has caused our budget imbalance. Time to man up and vote FOR the people instead of AGAINST them.
