Brewer: no action on S1070 today, to announce border security plan instead

Gov. Jan Brewer isn’t taking action Thursday on a controversial immigration enforcement bill but she will be announcing a border security plan.
Brewer has scheduled a late afternoon news conference at a National Guard installation in Phoenix to announce a plan that her office was developed with members of her Cabinet.
The governor has until Saturday to act on a sweeping bill that is regarded as the nation’s toughest state legislation against illegal immigration.
The state Senate is expected Thursday afternoon to consider new follow-up legislation to soften provisions in the pending bill that allow lawsuits against police agencies accused of not implementing it.

The only border security plan that will work is the rule of law. Our nation’s future as well as everyone’s quality of life depends on it. Sign SB1070 now!

I,am very proud of Arizona State for passing this law, our federal goverment
