The Rev. Al Sharpton, Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon and Hispanic leaders will lead a Wednesday evening march to the State Capitol in a protest against Arizona’s new law targeting illegal immigration.

Organizers plan a gathering at a church near downtown Phoenix and then a three-mile candlelight procession to the Capitol where participants will join protesters holding a vigil protesting the new law.

The law’s provisions include a requirement that state and local law enforcement officers question people about their immigration status if there’s reason to suspect they’re in the country illegally. It also makes it a state crime to be in the United States illegally.

  1. You ought to lock Sharpton up for sticking his nose in something that’s none of his business

  2. I am so sick of hearing the word; Racist!!! This has to do with coming into the United States from ANYWHERE, following the proper procedures, rules and laws. It’s about the crime, disease and illnesses that follow illegally coming into a country. If they have nothing to hide and have good intentions in coming into a country, why would you be sneaking and illegally crossing borders? If you are a stand up person, act like one and come over legally and you won’t have to worry about being arrested. It has absolutely nothing to do with being a Racist!!!! Don’t any of you protestors have any common sense?

  3. Carla… not one of them has common sense, or any sense for that matter. The law is purposely misconstrued by the media, the open border advocates and their brethren on the left. Anyone of intelligence who has read S1070 and loves this country is not fooled by the false rhetoric.

Sharpton proved once again he is an idiot while hand holding with his ideological twin, Gordon.

We live in very frustrating times, but the good news is what is right will win and good Americans of all stripes will ensure it.
