Gov. Jan Brewer faces a Friday deadline for filing responses to two lawsuits that seek to overturn Arizona’s new immigration law.
Brewer was sued in four of the five legal challenges that have been filed to the law since she approved it in April.
Opponents say the law is unconstitutional, will lead to racial profiling and that it’s the federal government’s responsibility to regulate immigration.
Brewer’s staff has said the law is constitutional, prohibits racial profiling and is a response to the federal government’s failure to confront immigration woes.
The law takes effect July 29 and requires police to question a person’s immigration status if officers have a reasonable suspicion that the person is in the country illegally.

Governor Brewer, please DO NOT back down from President Obama or any other special interest groups. 70 to 80% of the American people are backing you and want to see SB 1070 become the law on July 29th.
Other states or local cities are starting to follow suit. You are the LEADER in this movement and we need you to stand fast and tall!

DOOMES DAY!
You will wake up to a very changed world should the AZ ‘law’ be inforced. Just like the civil rights of the 60′s and 70′s you WILL find yourself in a strange land.. a lawless land.
Let us come together and keep this nation strong for us and for generations. Look at the bigger picture and move forward with dignity and respect. Not only for our family and friends but also for others. Set aside pettiness and create an enviornment where the nation as a whole can grow and florish!
Comprehensive Immigration Reform that protects Americans while providing for path to citizenship for illegals already here is the right way to go. Let no one fool you into thinking otherwise.
