In the immediate aftermath of signing S1070 and the resulting boycotts, Brewer convened a panel of tourism and business leaders to discuss how the state could portray itself as a tourist destination, despite the negative national attention. Yesterday, that panel returned its recommendations, chief among which was the suggestion to contract with a public relations firm “to help manage the existing dialogue and clarify the facts regarding SB1070 to key target audiences.”
