County Board: Arpaio’s office misspent $80M in tax money 
The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors on Sept. 22 put parts of the Sheriff's Office budget under line-item scrutiny after an investigation found the agency raided a special, voter-approved jail fund to pay salaries for deputies on the street, including those in a corruption unit and immigration enforcement.
