Arizona has a new advertising campaign to attract visitors from other parts of the country.

The Arizona Office of Tourism developed the campaign, which it’s calling “In One Word — Arizona.”

The ads will run primarily in the Chicago and Los Angeles markets because the tourism office found those cities are proven to be among the state’s major feeder markets for prospective visitors.

The ads will build on Arizona’s brand and include images of the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Sedona and Saguaro National Park.

Tourism officials say the campaign uses engaging imagery that will inspire people to discover more about the state.

The campaign begins Thursday and will run through May 2011.
