3 recommended for Arizona Game and Fish Commission

Gov. Jan Brewer will choose one person from among three candidates to appoint to the state Game and Fish Commission.

The commission’s Appointment Recommendation Board narrowed down a list of 73 applicants and interviewed five at its meeting this week in Phoenix. From the five, it chose Susan Bitter Smith, Robert Mansell and Brian Pinney to forward to the governor.

Brewer must select and appoint a commissioner from the list submitted by the board.

The commission is made of up five members, who serve staggered five-year terms.
