Former Alaska Gov. kicks off book tour in Phoenix

People began standing in line at 1 a.m. for a chance to meet former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.

John McCain’s former running mate is kicking off her national book tour in Phoenix on Tuesday.

KSAZ-TV says Palin is signing copies of her new book “American by Heart: Reflections on Family, Faith and Flag.”

The potential 2012 candidate for president is scheduled to appear at the Barnes and Noble at Desert Marketplace at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
