Arizona unemployment rate drops to 9.4 in November

Arizona’s unemployment rate is down slightly, dropping to 9.4 percent in November from 9.5 percent in October as job gains were fueled by hiring by retailers.

The Department of Commerce reports that nonfarm employment increased by 12,800 in November, or.5 percent. Two-thirds of the additional jobs were in retail trade.
