Senate panel to consider business tax cut bills

An Arizona Senate committee on Thursday is scheduled to consider an array of business tax cut bills.

The Finance Committee’s agenda includes consideration of four bills for a corporate income tax reduction, an income tax formula change and changes in taxes on business property and business equipment.

The chief sponsor of the four bills is Chandler Republican Steve Yarbrough, the Finance Committee’s chairman.

Several of the bills are similar to proposals by Gov. Jan Brewer but Yarbrough says the bills being considered Thursday are legislative proposal that were already in the works before Brewer put her ideas on the table.
