Top immigration officials to speak in Phoenix

Two of the nation’s top immigration officials are set to speak Wednesday at a border security conference being held in Phoenix.

John Morton is the director of the U.S. Department of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and Mike Fisher is the chief of the U.S. Border Patrol.

They’re expected to address a crowd of government officials and those working in the border security field, including companies that manufacture the products used by immigration agents for border enforcement.

The two-day conference began Tuesday and included remarks from state and federal agencies involved in border security. The conference is being held at the Phoenix Convention Center.
