Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio says he will not release the findings of an investigation into the conduct of some of his top command staff.

The sheriff turned down a demand by The Arizona Republic and KPNX-TV to release the 1,000-page report by Monday evening.

Arpaio told the Republic the report would not be shared until the three employees reviewed it and exhausted their appeal rights.

The probe was done by the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office and given to Arpaio last week.

It was launched after a deputy chief alleged that three other top administrators engaged in mismanagement, favoritism and possible criminal behavior.

  1. So – let me get this straight. The report won’t be released until his employees can exhaust their appeals, but Joe will be posting mugshots of individuals (who have not been convicted of any crime yet) on his website for people to vote on…

Using his rationale for posting mugshots – lets release the report so that other people might come forward with additional allegations against his staff.

What’s good for the goose is good for the gander…
