Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer leaves Wednesday for China as part of a state trade delegation.

The nearly 30-member group is scheduled to return to Arizona on Sept. 24.

Besides Brewer, others going on the trip include Arizona Commerce Authority CEO Don Cardon and representatives of the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Brewer spokesman Matthew Benson says the state will pay the approximate cost of $4,000 per person for each of the five state officials and employees going.

He says other participants or their employers will pay their own way.
