Stanton says tires were slashed

Phoenix mayoral candidate Greg Stanton says someone slashed his tires. Stanton says his car was parked outside an establishment in north Phoenix Wednesday night for a fundraiser when someone came up and cut his tires.

Stanton tells The Arizona Republic he will not be intimidated.

Stanton spokesman Robbie Sherwood says there may have been witnesses who have information about the tire slashing. Stanton is running against Wes Gullett in the race to replace Mayor Phil Gordon.
