Funding in place for Loop 303 interchange at I-10

Construction on the next multi-level freeway-to-freeway interchange in metro Phoenix is set to begin in November.

The Arizona Republic reports the State Transportation Board awarded a $133 million contract to build an interchange at Loop 303 and Interstate 10 near Cotton Lane in Goodyear.

ADOT says the Interstate will be slightly aligned as it travels beneath the new interchange.

The interchange will connect with improved six-lane segments of Loop 303 that also will be under construction between Thomas Road and Grand Avenue over the next three years.

Pulice Construction Inc., of Phoenix, was awarded the work. The interchange is expected to be open to traffic in mid-2014.
