Gullett and Stanton to debate twice this week

Two debates are scheduled this week for Phoenix mayoral candidates Wes Gullett and Greg Stanton.

The University Club Foundation is hosting a debate on Monday night with The Arizona Republic and KPNX holding a televised debate Wednesday night at the Herberger Little Theater.

Monday’s debate has a $30 ticket price while Wednesday’s debate is free although it’s a on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Gullett and Stanton are in a Nov. 8 run-off election after being the top vote-getters out of a field of seven candidates on Aug. 30.

Stanton is a Democrat who used to serve on the Phoenix City Council. Gullett is a Republican who works as a political consultant.
