Brewer appoints Game and Fish Commission member

Gov. Jan Brewer has appointed political consultant Kurt Davis to an opening on the state’s Game and Fish Commission.

Davis replaces Robert Woodhouse, whose five-year term on the commission ends at the end of the year.

Davis is a partner in a political consulting firm and worked previously as a vice president at Northern Arizona University, a staffer for former Gov. Fife Symington and a top organizer in Arizona for Sen. John McCain’s 2008 presidential bid.

His appointment is subject to confirmation from the Arizona Senate.
