Motions were due yesterday in Bundgaard’s attempt to block the ethics investigation into his now nearly year-old domestic violence incident. The senator’s attorney, Andre Merrett, argued in his filing that issuing a temporary restraining order against the committee wouldn’t be a case of the courts intervening in a political matter, as the court is not being asked to perform functions delegated to the Legislature by the Constitution.
