Monday is deadline to introduce bills in AZ House

PHOENIX (AP) — Monday is the deadline for Arizona House members to introduce bills and other legislation for consideration in the current regular session.

More than 800 bills, resolutions and memorials have already been introduced in the House so far.

The Senate’s deadline was a week ago. That chamber now has over 500 pieces of legislation in the hopper.

The 2012 session began Jan. 9. Lawmakers hope to adjourn it by late April.
