I've been familiar with Babeu's career since he was a floundering MA politician, and the thing is, he's always intermingled the personal, the political, and the financial. You can't give an adequate account of his conduct in office, at the DeSisto School, or in any other aspect of his public life without alluding to its many intersections with his fractious personal life. There's always been this procession of present and former lovers complaining of being had, used, manipulated, cheated or otherwise treated badly. And Babeu has always used whatever public or personal resources were at his disposal to insure, by whatever means, their silence. There are journalists in this state who know something of the lengths he's been willing to go to do this. I can't imagine there aren't further shoes to drop.

Babeu's orientation is an extremely private personal characteristic just as it is for others like John McCain, Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum, and so many others. Which of any of these public figures has EVER revealed their very private sexual orientation much less actually identified someone they had as a sex partner or spouse? In the USA, we have never known the sexual orientation of anyone running for public office. Someone such as Romney would never appear with either a female or male partner because he wants his orientation to be a very private mystery.
