Too bad none of you have any clue what you're talking about. I deal with these agencies daily - they literally make up te rules as they go. The idea behind this law was to get an audit to determine if a company is in complete compliance and to give them a chance to meet compliance without fear of repercussions. There is much room for interpretation for many of the regulations and what may pass with one inspector, may be a violation in another inspector's eyes. This would have helped businesses come into compliance and REDUCE pollution. There must be an awful lot of self employed people out there, with so many people against businesses, don't know about you, but I work for a business and damn proud of it.

This is a stunningly bad proposal and seems nothing more than an attempt to allow businesses to proceed with a project development when it is known that project will cause environmental harm. I hope that the Governor is not blinded by such an obviously greed-based proposal and is intelligent enough to know that this would not best serve the citizens of Arizona. Shame on the House for putting businesses above people and the environment. Shame!

I guess it is not enough that our government can make secret information that is important to Americans so that they can make responsible life decisions, but now we allow businesses the right to do the same. On the one hand certain government officials say businesses should self-regulate and on the other we give them permission to hide from the public that which they are to be self-regulating.
