Finally, another state legislature that could consider the state's people's needs instead of party ideology. The only state that I am aware of that must negotiate between both parties is New York. For generations it has the upper house Republican controlled and the lower house controlled by the Democrats. Even the governor must be a part of negotiations regarding any legislation. Nothing gets done except what the people want. Prefect! The people win!

Wouldn't it be nice if both parties actually worked together on bills and budgets by default, rather than claiming they "might" work with the other party if they don't get their way with a governor of their own party. Weird political system we have isn't it?

wow.. law makers working together yo do their job and take care of business. Compromise and get things done instead of just trying to get everything their own way. Realizing that even though they may hold a majority, a large part of the population doesn't see things their way. what a great concept, governing for the people and state, and not the political party. Its like the founding fathers envisioned. Amazing, but they won't do it, they always go party first, people second or third after election contributors. It's sad.
