This selection renders the Clemency Board ineffective. It would be more honest to say Arizona does not have a Clemency Board rather than put "puppets" (political) on a board with a certain agenda which is quite apparent to all. This does not bode well for the innocent people of Arizona or the taxpayers who continue to foot the bill for a broken criminal justice system. Don't want people knowing too much, do we?

This is all it takes to sit on a Clemency Board in Arizona?

\State law also requires that each new member take a four-week course conducted by the chairman to learn the duties and activities related to the board.\

How Belcher, a individual with such knowledge and experience would not have his contract extended is astounding! The same goes for Ms. Stenson.

Looks like another move for the private prison corporation take control of Arizona. No one will ever get out. They have no incentive to release anyone in their quest for $$'s.
