We all need to do our homework on this race. Basic legislative experience is one area that will track candidates actions. The jury is out and endorsements do not matter if through the candidates actions and words, we will see what kind of candidate and/or legislator they will be. Check their voting records. If they have not held a legislative office are they the most qualified? Only the well informed voter really knows.

I live in CD9 and certainly don't want to see the next several months spent having candidates attack each other. Voters want to hear about how candidates will attempt to address issues of genuine concern. It's bad enough that virtually all politicians while running for office make promises that they can't possibly keep , and let's face the facts-- especially in this race -- because whomever is elected will be a junior, junior representative with absolutely no clout in the halls of Congress. The newly elected congressperson will be lucky to get into the congressional lunchroom. So, let's stop with the generic, uninspired and over-used slogans, such as I'll- fight-for-the-middle-class, and I'll- make- sure- your- (name subject matter here)- is- advanced-in-the-Congress, and deal with realistic ways in which a freshman member of the U.S. House of Representatives can actually have a positive impact on constituents who live in CD09. If they do that, it will really condense the rhetoric.
