There's little to boast about. The state's reputation has been left in shambles. The people have lost more of their rights. Innocent people, families and childrens' lives have been destroyed through a culture of indifference and intolerance.

In wrapping up the 2012 session we see glaring omissions:

Why is the historic ousting of a sitting president of the Senate - Russell Pearce -- not mentioned? First recalled, then voted out of office.

Why is the Corrections budget and the proposed $50,000,000 for new prisons / private prisons when Arizona does not need this expansion not mentioned?

Why is the criminal justice system lack of reform not mentioned when Rep. Ash along with citizens and all have worked for years on much needed Sentencing reform to Arizona's draconian mandatory minimum sentencing --- where a non-violent, first offender is sentenced to 75 years? Updated laws and reform would save taxpayers millions that could be used for education, health care, job training instead of 'growing" the prison population for the private prison corporations who have "bought out" the legislators and set state public policy through the Governor's office.

The public deserves real dialog and answers.
