House Democratic Leader Chad Campbell and Rep. Lela Alston held back a challenge in Legislative District 24 from political newcomer Tom Nerini and Democratic activist Jean Cheuvront McDermott, the mother of former lawmaker and Senate candidate Ken Cheuvront.
