[...] I theory Brewer is an consultant on a issues of preparation and fun, yet she’s never taught and I’ve never seen a faintest spark of fun on her face. She’s certain a budget-starved teachers consider implementing a new Common Core Standards but any income to compensate for textbooks, training or additional computers and bandwidth (needed to perform a charge to give standardised tests online) will be fun, fun, fun.
"In an era of scare resources..." No kidding!

Brewer and Huppenthal created the "scarce resource" environment by cutting over $2 billion in education funding and, in addition, cut revenues.

"Don't tell me about your values...show me your budget."

Under their dubious leadership, prisons in this state now get more vastly more funding than do our universities.

What is it about the term "public education" that they don't get. And then they have the nerve to go begging...hat in hand...to the private sector for resources.

Give me a break...there is no logic in their behavior and no rationale in their thinking, except for the fact that they are both bent on dismantling state government and the public education system.
