Arizona sales tax study task force meets Tuesday

Gov. Jan Brewer’s task force that is studying possible ways to simplify Arizona’s sales tax system meets Tuesday at the Capitol in Phoenix.
The agenda for the afternoon meeting includes receiving reports from working groups on state and local taxes and on taxes paid by contractors.
A separate group studying taxation of online retail sales also will provide an update.
Brewer wants the task force to propose recommendations on a range of topics for possible action in the 2013 legislative session.
