Klein departs Ninth Floor, Smith will be new chief of staff 
After nearly four years on the Ninth Floor, Eileen Klein is stepping down as Gov. Jan Brewer’s chief of staff, and as most Capitol observers expected, top aide Scott Smith is stepping in to take the reins.The Governor’s Office on Monday announced that Klein had accepted a job as Arizona Board of Regents president. ABOR voted on Oct. 10 to offer Klein the position, which is being vacated by outgoing president Tom Anderes.
