Identifying two problems (petition number disparity and extra costs to get voter lists) is not a justification for totally eliminating the party system. Were that the way to solve problems, every time I brought my car in for an oil change, my mechanic would also rebuild my engine.

All of the top two arguments are non sequiturs because its supporters never openly admit to their real goal, which is to eliminate the conservative Republican majorities in the Arizona legislature. (Can you say term limits, Clean Elections, contribution limits and redistricting? All prior schemes to accomplish same.)

And regarding electing independents, it didn't happen recently in California, when they ran their first open primary. Every incumbent won the first round, as did 131 of 136 non-incumbents who openly affiliated with a party. In addition, the other 5 were third party candidates and NOT A SINGLE INDEPENDENT advanced to the general election.

A YES vote for Prop 121...besides leveling the playing field for candidates
would also be a YES vote for all of Arizona's voters.

A YES vote for 121 would allow all voters:

1. EQUAL ACCESS to get on every ballot.

2. EQUAL ACCESS to vote on every ballot.
