There are NO heroes in Arizona, only tyrants and self-appointed Gods. The GOP is their God, not Jesus.

I've voted for Sheriff Joe since he's been on the ballot but I think the best thing, at this time, is for another strong republican to come in with tacit approval of Joe, and have that person run without a primary. Nothing chews up republicans more than primaries and we don't need it if only they would know when to retire and let the pathway be clear for a republican with a rating of over 90%.

If the sheriff cared about the people more than his ego, he would resign. It will be a long time before he is well enough to do his job which should be a demanding one, not propped up like some aging "king" in a Third World country. There's much critical work to be done in Maricopa County and the state, where the MCAO fills and grows the prisons with the help of out of control sheriffs and police being turned from Peace officers into militarized ones. The people are watching and those who will not wait for the legislators to respond, will protest. Concerned citizens and voters wouldn't waste their time and money on recalls if their voices were being heard by the elected officials -- who disregard the people.

National $$'s pouring into a local campaign is NOT a victory but bodes poorly for the people forced to endure tyranny.

Very nice use of the map. The fact that you guys made precincts clickable for more detail was super useful. And not something most papers bother to do.
