The second most common reason for a doctor visit is low back pain. The usual treatment is narcotic, addictive painkillers. Scientific studies have proven that chiropractic is at least as effective as drugs in relieving pain. If patients first saw chiropractors, the number of prescriptions for addictive painkillers would dramatically decrease. If chiropractic care does not work, a referral would be made for drugs. The time has come for chiropractors to be front line clinicians for neck and back pain to reduce the number of patients who become addicted to prescription painkillers with subsequent addiction and oftentimes death. For more information, go to the chiropractic association webpage at www.AZChiropractors.org.
