I bring with me the bulk of a legal education, and 13 long months substandard care and treatment in the state's sole long term mental health care facility, The Arizona State Hospital. I am, however, a Tucson based resident of the state, and in fact underwent the first 8 months of 21 months of total hospitalization in Tucson area facilities prior to my admission to ASH in Jan. 2011. For the entirety of my time at ASH, near literally, I witnessed and was subject first hand to graphic forms of emotional, psychological, and physical abuse, in direct assoc. with the willingness of ASH and AHDS highest ranking officials to turn a blind eye to good faith, well documented reports of these matters, which effectively allows for nothing short of substandard mental health care and practices at ASH on a day to day basis. Today, as ADHS is being subjected to a similarly good faith investigation specific to the rights and care needs of the state's mentally ill and behaviorally challenged juveniles, I am still 100% dedicated to bringing meaningful resolution to the highly egregious and patently substandard conditions at ASH. Patient abuse of any kind is highly illegal, inhumane, and unacceptable to anyone of reasonable conscience. I implore on anybody of like and compassion to contact me via email (paoloreed@gmail.com).
