Many visitors and tourists who visit Arizona, came here for the historical culture that once made it an interesting state. The children should be able to learn about the state and nations culture. The many immigrants who came to the U.S. created a wonderful tapestry of diversity. Building a better Arizona is one that needs to be built with respecting others and their differences. We don't have to be like anyone else, but we do need to respect others. Our elected officials should be leading the way, but instead continue to take the state backwards to an era we all thought we left behind. Tucson is a great place with an interesting history, architecture and people. It's shameful they have had to fight to preserve their history and culture.
