VHW, Once those who drove the draconian mandatory minimum sentencing laws in the war on drugs, get themselves snared into the “shredding machine” they created called the “War on Drugs”, nothing will change.

The profiteers have turned it into an industry to replace manufacturing in America, that put us in a place where we are doomed as a nation.

The documentary film, “THE HOUSE I LIVE IN” is the reality we live in. Even those who never had drugs in their lives have been snared into their mass industrial prison machine and had their lives and families destroyed.

America was once a proud nation profiting from positive pursuits like creating, educating and producing, now it has become one of profiting off destruction and human misery, making the U.S. #1 Jailer in the world — truly shameful and immoral.

When the state of Arizona and its leaders favor incarceration over education, bought by the private prison corporations and related industries, the people and society lose. Who wants to visit, bring a business or live in a state that thrives on ignorance and backwards thinking? A narcissist state left with a shameful reputation that doesn't see itself like the rest of the nation sees it.

Yes, we need people powerful individuals like Mr. MacDonald to enlighten his friends and powerful cronies, because the elected officials could care less about Arizona’s people, who they ignore and despise. No one will escape the destruction they have put in place. They created a war on their people.

The "war on drugs" is a war on ALL America.

I am a mmj patient. I have a son whom is in desperate need of mmj him self. he lives in south Dakota. so at this time he does what he needs to do. it saddens me that in all of this crap with the legalization of medical marijuana ppl don't see the benefit.... my son can either be on a large dose of lithium, abilify, and trazadone. and be lethargic, hungry beyond belief, gain a ton of weight, slobber on himself, and sleep 18 hours a day..... other words non productive in life.... OR smoke a joint. which controls his bi polar paranoid scifrenic tendencies, and manic rages..... what would u do... at 14 years of age I introduced weed to my son.... it worked.... my hope is that the government accepts the fact this is a natural plant... no different from which hazel, aloe vera, that has a lot of medicinal benefit.... leave us alone.... its not meth... its not crack... its not molly.... its not x.... its weed pure and natural... not man made.... WHY DO YOUTHINK GOD PUT IT HERE???????????????? for us.. to help us... GOD IS GOOD.....

This award-winning documentary should be a civil duty for all to watch. It will clearly explain where we find ourselves today as a nation -- the U.S. #1 Jailer in the World. A shameful statistic. Arizona must STOP the building NEW prisons the state does not need. It is also shameful to house inmates from others states and countries -- human trafficking for $$'s. This create a liability for the taxpayers as well.

Cheers to Mr. McDonald's truth and courageous stance. May god bless his entire family and others in similar circumstances. This is a patient rights issue and we need legislators and leaders at all levels to level the playing field, open access to effective treatments, and quit tilting the table for pharmaceuticals, tobacco and alcohol.
