University of Arizona and Phoenix city officials on Thursday are scheduled to announce what the Tucson-based university says will be “a major announcement” about the development of its Phoenix Biomedical Campus.

According to the university, a UA College of Medicine-Phoenix research scientist and other college representatives will be on hand for the announcement.

The university’s medical school in Phoenix graduated its fourth class on Monday.

The medical school is part of the Phoenix Biomedical Campus, which also includes other health-related units of the UA and Northern Arizona University as well as the Translational Genomics Research Institute.
