Studio 48 expected to attract film projects into Arizona

film-movie-web

The new Arizona Office of Film and Media is expected to help promote and attract film and media industry projects into the state.

The City of Phoenix Film Office says Studio 48 will be under the direction of Matthew Earl Jones.

He’s the half-brother of famed actor James Earl Jones.

Studio 48’s name refers to Arizona’s entry into the union as the 48th state.

Since the former State Film Office closed in 2010, the Phoenix Film Office and partner agencies in other cities around the state have assisted production companies with permits and other requests and provided assistance within their respective jurisdictions.
