Groups push for dental therapists to fill shortages in all 15 counties (access required)

With every county in Arizona needing more dental care providers, backers of licensing mid-level professionals are gearing up for a second attempt to convince lawmakers of their proposal to alleviate the shortage.

Two bills to increase workers’ compensation coverage for firefighters who contract cancer in the line of duty have the votes they need to pass a final read in the Senate, yet they have so far been blocked from the floor, supporters said.
