Brewer orders background checks for state workers

An executive order issued Wednesday by Brewer instructs DOA, the Lottery, PSPRS, ASRS, and Dept of Financial Institutions to conduct criminal background checks, credit checks and a verification of qualifications for all applicants and current employees who would have access to sensitive confidential, personal or financial information.
