Tackling what he has called a humanitarian crisis, President Barack Obama on Tuesday asked Congress for $3.7 billion to cope with a tide of minors from Central America who are illegally crossing the U.S. border, straining immigration resources and causing a political firestorm in Washington.

Gov. Brewer calls AZ migrant relocation unconscionable

TUCSON — Calling it dangerous and unconscionable, Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer on Monday sent a letter to President Barack Obama criticizing reports that immigration officials sent migrant families from Texas to Arizona, later dropping them off at Greyhound stations in Phoenix and Tucson.
