The Arizona Mining Association (AMA), established in 1965, represents interests of entities engaged in mining and mineral processing in Arizona and who make significant contributions to the Arizona economy as a result of those activities. The current industry has an approximate $5 Billion economic impact with the potential to greatly increase that number with the opening of new projects currently in permitting. One of our main priorities is to represent our members in the development of local, state and federal regulations which affect mining interests in Arizona as well as educate the public on the importance of mining in our everyday lives. AMA members are engaged in the mining of copper, silver, gold, coal, uranium, molybdenum, potash, and other vital materials. The AMA membership includes mining companies, consultants and supplier companies who do work in the mining industry.

AMA is the primary advocate of the Arizona mining industry through promoting sound public policy at all levels of government, educating the public about the benefits of mining and supporting the sustainability of a safe and responsible mining industry.
