Issues:
Political influence: I’ve been lucky to have a number of political mentors in my life.
Budget recommendations: Close loopholes and hold big corporations and the rich accountable to pay their fair share.
Other concerns: Nothing else even comes close to being as important as our state budget because the budget determines our priorities for the state. I remain committed to a strong K-12 public education system.
Fiscal philosophy: I believe in sound stable tax policy that protects our state’s vital infrastructure (education, transportation, public safety), while respecting voters’ hard-earned right to their earnings.
Background & experience: Six years of service in the House has helped me learn the process of effective legislating.
Proposition 100 sales tax: I believe the Legislature’s duty is to solve the budget and we should have done that ourselves instead of forcing the voters to make our tough decisions for us.
Pro-life/pro-choice: I support a woman’s right to make decisions with her family and her doctor about her life, future and family.
Campaign Finance: private.
