Arizona since: 2006.

Occupation: CFO, Aid to Adoption of Special Kids, 3 years; IKEA, 7 years, (managed operational budgets of up to 1 billion dollars annually).

Marital: Married (Marianne, human resources).

Education: B.S., accounting, Gwynedd Mercy College, 1989.

Memberships have included: Republican precinct committeeman.

Interests: Helping to get our state and country back to where it needs to be in any and every way I can. Laveen Community Sports basketball referee for several years prior to campaign starting.

Issues:

Political influence: Ron Paul.

Budget recommendations: Cut commercial property and corporate taxes. Refinance school debt. Take a serious look at closing public school districts that are failing and use vouchers for charter schools and private schools.

Other concerns: Job creation and job creation.

Fiscal philosophy: The only way our local economy can thrive long term is by production, exports, and saving. Spending and debt creation has never worked, nor will it ever work. We cannot count on the construction and tourist industries. They will not bounce back for many years. We need to change our way of thinking. My primary job as a legislator will be to do just that. I will use my 25 years of business experience to promote growth and production which creates jobs. Only by creating jobs will the tax base grow. Arbitrarily raising taxes and borrowing from the future may pay the bills this week, but is not the way to bring the state back to prosperity.

Background & experience: I have worked in the public sector as an auditor. I have worked in public accounting auditing municipalities and private businesses. I have managed 7 and 8 figure operational and capital budgets. I currently work as a CFO for a nonprofit who gets most of its revenue through DES. I have seen all sides of government. I have run businesses. I think we need well rounded people in office who are there for the right reasons. I feel I am one of those people.

Proposition 100 sales tax: Oppose. Raising taxes during a depression will cost jobs. Some estimates are in the 15,000 range. We are already pushing 20 percent in real unemployment, and this would be the 3rd tax increase in the Phoenix area in the last few months amounting to about $800 per household. Not to mention the recent SRP increase, and the inflation we are experiencing in food and gas prices.

Pro-life/pro-choice: Pro-life.

One last thing: I am not a politician, I feel our leaders should be experienced people who have been out in the world and have had a measure of success who are giving back to the community because it is the right thing to do. I also think we need people in office who are not afraid to make the tough decisions that ultimately are in the best interest of our community and our children. It is easy to kick the can down the road to assure re-election, unfortunately we are running out of road. There is a job that needs to be done in Arizona, and I feel I am the best candidate to do it.

Campaign Finance: public.
